Why Long Term Care?

We are a health care environment like no other.

Residents come to long term care with a character finely etched from decades of living. They build a story of day-to-day life that is unique in every facility. Nowhere else will you have this opportunity to build one-on-one relationships with people who are willing to share a lifetime of experience to give you the experience of a lifetime.

We offer a progressive clinical and leadership challenge.

Nurses are the day-to-day clinical leaders and decision-makers in long term care facilities. Long term care nurses hone their professional and leadership skills in providing care for a generally older person with increasingly complex healthy diet medical and physical conditions. They manage a clinical environment that is also a home environment, a setting that supports a holistic and comprehensive approach to care that is matched to personal needs.

We offer more career opportunities in more communities!

Approximately 150 new long term care facilities will open over the next three years. With upwards of 700 long term care facilities located in communities throughout Ontario, there is, or will be, a professional, challenging and unique career opportunity right where you live.
