Who Are We?

Located in the heart of the Greater Toronto Area, the Region of Peel includes three local municipalities: the Town of Caledon and the Cities of Brampton and Mississauga.
Peel Region is the second-largest municipality in Ontario and is home to more than one million people. It is one of the fastest growing communities in Ontario and features a wonderfully dynamic blend of cultures, industries and rural and urban communities.
Nursing positions are available in two main areas: Public Health and Long Term Care.

Public Health

Peel Public Health pushes the envelope when it comes to leading-edge programs and services to serve the community. Innovation is more than a word here; it’s a way of being.
Best of all, quality of work life at Peel Public Health is a priority. Actions are recognized; decision-making is done together; caring and respect are everywhere; and work/life balance is practiced and not just preached.

Our public health nurses work in multidisciplinary teams to deliver programs that include:
•   Infection Control and Immunization
•   Reproductive Health
•   Tobacco Prevention
•   Child Health and Parenting
•   Obesity Prevention
•   Prenatal and New Baby Support

•   and more!

Long Term Care

It takes a special person – one who is not only highly skilled but also incredibly resourceful – to dedicate his or her career to providing holistic care for individuals with complex chronic illnesses.
At Peel’s Long Term Care Centres, we pride ourselves on our longstanding tradition of caring. Our people – from our health-care team to our residents, Adult Day Service clients and their families – always come first.
Our nurses play an important leadership role in the care of our residents. They help deliver the highest standard of care to everyone, every single day.
We offer our staff continuous learning opportunities to help them refine and expand their clinical skills. We walk the talk when it comes to investing in our people!
